Una Students Compete In Regional Competition

FLORENCE, Ala. - Four University of North Alabama students were selected for semi-final and final competitions during the recent Southeastern Regional NATS competition in April in Mobile. The Department of Music and Theatre sent 12 students to the competition. The competition consists of singers from a variety of colleges, universities and private voice studios from Alabama, Georgia and Florida. The competition is highly competitive and allows students to gain performance and musicianship experience on a large scale. Led by UNA vocal faculty members Dr. Tiffany Bostic-Brown and Gene Anne Gifford, the students who participated were Andrew Mills, Joshua Davis, Grace Kennington, Grace Ashley, Alesha Moore, Amy Johnson, Karyn Lowe, Jessica Bailey, Brandon Asberry, Marc Anderson, Heather Simmers and Michelle Gordy. Kristie Smith and Karen Cantrell were accompanists at the competition.
