Una Announces Leo Learning Winners

FLORENCE, Ala. - The University of North Alabama recently announced the winners of the Leo Learning video contest for Muscle Shoals High School and Middle School students. Drawing inspiration from the Mathtrain.tv Web site created by Eric Marcos and his students, the Leo Learning program is designed to encourage students to teach students using video tutorials. The university hopes that Leo Learning will grow into a useful tool enabling students to express their creativity while helping other students. In a pilot program sponsored in part by Techsmith Camtasia, the Alabama Geographic Alliance and the National Geographic Education foundation, Leo Learning asked Muscle Shoals High School and Middle School teachers to incorporate a video tutorial project into their lesson plans. Participating teachers were Melanie Calvert, John Ritter, Lori Roberts, Leah Torisky, Leella Holt, Dwight McGee, and Juanica Baugh.
